Something for Christmas?

Just looking for something to play a little less serious than Rainbow Six: Vegas. I found this rather nice piece of freeware (it's in Beta - donations accepted) .

It's called Ichor and it's rather similar to Tron (or snakes) with advanced fluid dynamics. Give it a try! (be warned you'll need around a 3Ghz P4 for a good framerate)

Wii hits store shelves and then, like magic, it's gone

BBC NEWS | Technology | Wii shortages frustrating gamers

The Wii is launched in the UK; 50,000 units sold in just 12 hours. Pretty damn impressive, it's going to be very interesting to see how many units Ninty can get onto shelves in the run up to Christmas. What will be even more interesting is just where the wii will find itself in the all-formats breakdown this time next year, a damn sight higher up than the Gamecube ever did I suspect. The Wii will almost certainly suffer from poor third party support (in comparison) but at least this time it can offer something special. The Wii may also offer developers; once they've gotten their heads around the controls, a cheaper platform to develop for. The name is still daft though, a search for 'Wii uk' on google images for this article actually returned an image of a sample bottle on the second page!

Halo 3 strikes back

Some kind of Shield grenade (cool, but if it's in the game will it be use-able?)

And it appears to be set on Earth or an Earth like planet. The trailer is up now on Xbox live marketplace in it's full 720p glory...
